Kayaking / SUP
Kayaking can be done in the jungle along rivers and lagoons or into caves to see Mayan relics. Alternatively kayak on the ocean along the coast or around the cayes to view the reef from a different perspective. Several trips are available that either kayak or stand up paddleboard from caye to caye, or you can stay on the atolls to kayak/sup to different snorkel sites.
Hiking
There are many beautiful hiking trails in Belize backcountry. Guided hikes are available at most jungle lodges and several with extensive self guided trails at some and can provide an excellent opportunity to view local wildlife and birds. Set against a spectacular backdrop of the Maya mountains the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife sanctuary has a number of marked trails that can be explored independently or with a guide. Mayflower Bocawina National Park also has a number of scenic trails, several that climb to the top of waterfalls, trails also can be done independently or with a guide.
Ziplining
