This Belize holiday allows time to experience many Belize highlights by visiting four different regions, Orange Walk in the north, the island of Ambergris Caye, the Cayo District in the West and Placencia peninsula on the southern coast.

Mayan highlights can include visiting the scenic Lamanai Mayan ruins, venturing into the Mayan underworld in the cave of Actun Tunichil Muknal, Xunantunich in the Cayo or the remote Caracol. In the rainforest, you could also spot amazing wildlife such as toucans and howler monkeys.

To see spectacular marine life and coral, you can snorkel or dive the Barrier Reef from Ambergris Caye and Placencia, before finishing your holiday with some beach relaxation.

Day to Day

Below is an example day by day itinerary

Day 1

Fly from London to US. Overnight in US (Room only).

Day 2

Fly from US to Belize International Airport. Met on arrival and transferred to Orange Walk. Travel by boat down the New River to Lamanai Outpost Lodge (D) (Approx. 2.5 hrs)

Day 3

Overnight at Lamanai Outpost Lodge (BLD). Choose from 2 activities a day that include visit to Lamanai Mayan ruins, kayaking on lagoon, night spotlight river safari, early morning bird walks.

Day 4

Transfer to Belize City by boat and road and then take a short propeller flight to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Overnight at Xanadu (Room Only)

Day 5

Included during your stay is a choice of snorkel trip. You could visit the Hol Chan Marine Reserve where you will see tropical reef fish, stingrays, nurse sharks, turtles and perhaps a moray eel. Alternatively, you can visit Mexico Rocks further north of the island where there are a diversity of soft and hard corals and array of tropical fish. Overnight Xanadu (Room Only)

Day 6

Day at leisure. Overnight Xanadu (Room Only)

Day 7

Short flight back to Belize City then air-conditioned transfer to the Cayo District in Western Belize. Overnight at Black Rock Lodge (BLD).

Day 8

Today you will venture inside the ATM Cave (Actun Tunichil Muknal) which was once used by the ancient Mayans for ceremonial purposes (a physical trip). Overnight at Black Rock Lodge (BLD).

Day 9

Today you will visit the remote Caracol Mayan Ruins, located deep in the Belizean jungle. Overnight at Black Rock Lodge (BLD).

Day 10

Hike through the rainforest on miles of marked trails leaving from Black Rock Lodge to various destinations such as Flour Camp Cave, Key Hole Cave, the Mountain Summit, Vaca Falls, the Vista Loop or the Cliff Trail. Overnight Black Rock Lodge (BLD)

Day 11

Transfer along the Hummingbird Highway to Placencia. Transfer approx. 3.5 hours. Overnight at Belizean Nirvana (Continental Breakfast).

Day 12

Included during your stay is a choice of snorkel trip either at Laughing Bird or Silk Caye, for some world-class snorkel on the Belizean Barrier Reef. Overnight Belizean Nirvana (Continental Breakfast)
