Matachica is a luxury and very stylish beach resort that is located 5 miles to the north of San Pedro town on Ambergris Caye. The beach is beautiful and peaceful with a tropical feel and the views of the Caribbean are spectacular. You can kayak to the reef here to snorkel or there is excellent snorkelling a short boat ride away.

Rooms: are 30 individual thatched casitas and a two bedroomed villa. The casitas start on the beachfront just 50 feet from the sea and then graduate backwards. An in-house bakery offers desserts, home made ice creams and chocolate creations branded in collaboration with local producers. Rum and tequila tastings highlight local and boutique offerings, while handcrafted bitters and chocolates are uniquely branded and inspired by Belizean ingredients.
